This is a test of ATRACS quality using RealPlayer to make the file from Lindos CD2 and then play back via Yellowtek PUC USB 'soundcard'.
Note the extended bandwidth to 20kHz, compared to 11kHz for MP3 at 96ks/s and 16kHz for all other MP3 options even up to 320 ks/s. Noise is from the PUC. All codecs have been found not to add any significant noise to the signal (they may quieten it because of dither suppression effects). |
